I enrolled the kids into 3rd grade
but i had to get get a bunch of forms signed at the school district office
I had to provide them with proof of residency
for the new spot we just moved into.
So, when i was turning in the forms,
they thought i was there to enroll myself into high school.
yesterday, went to a birthday party with 15 toddlers running around everywhere.
My cousins' kids had that ringtone only kids and dogs can hear.

I tried to order a pair of "general admissions" tickets at ticketmaster.com
i reset the order form about 15 times...
but ticketmaster could not find any tickets
so switched the limit to 1 ticket
and accidentally got 3 seats.
with 3 different transactions...
meaning they are 3 different seat locations.
and i have to get the tickets at will call.
anyone want to go see

Electric Friends bidded for my munny, "Zor"
EF won.
kidrobot's shipping and handling fucked up Zor's eye tentacles.
EF complained.
at first kidrobot didn't want to take responsibility for sending a defective piece of artwork.
in fact, kidrobot tried to make EF feel guilty
and said EF would be taking back the donation from the Feed The Children charity.
EF complained more and basically said that...
the donation should have already been donated.
and kidrobot needs to make up for poorly handled custom munny.
so kidrobot sends us 2 gorillaz and a new munny. |

since electric friends moved into the new studio

sitting in the same spot
working on 3 different things...
lasting about 3 seconds.

based on a true story:
positivespace hooked me up with her last +1 tix for
The Roots at The Warfield Theatre
positivespace tells me to meet at the front of The Warfield
around 8pm
her friend, Emily is on the guestlist and will give you the extra tix.
i was at the office
which was 1 exit away from the 280 6th st exit...
i got a little too excited
and left at 7:30.
7:35
found parking
7:40
arrived in front of the theatre.
positivespace says, Emily will be wearing baggy pants...
Not 1 female had baggy pants.
so i assumed that it would probably be easy to spot her.
but to be safe i told positivespace to tell Emily im wearing a green cap.
I constantly look at the clock on my cel phone
while i leaned against a lamp post.
7:45
Random crackhead #1
yells, "OH MY! I LOVE YOUR HAT!"
to the cute white girl standing 5ft in front of me.
the girl tries to hand him her cigarette, in an attempt to shoo the crackhead away.
crackhead politely replies,
"why thank you, but i don't smoke..."
then crackhead tries to give her a hug,
the girls bf jumps in between them,
bf says, "heeey... how are you doin' man?"
crackhead yells,
"OH MY!... LONG TIME NO SEE!!"
bf and crackhead shakes hands.
then crackhead meets and greets all the other smokers standing outside.

Random crackhead #2 walks drunkardly in front of the theatre
in his left hand, a small luggage with wheels
in his right hand, a KMEL poster.
he drops his luggage,
starts dancing and jumping up and down
with the poster above his head
he starts dancing in my direction...
5 feet away he throws the poster on the ground
the KMEL logo faces down
and reveals doo-doo wiped all over the back of the poster.
i think i was in shock.
he starts swaying in my direction
he waves his doo-doo hands in the air like a toddler ready to finger paint.
then he lunges at me...
i flinched.
my hands flew out of my pockets
and i put my fists up as if i was going to block a punch to my face.
as soon as his doo-doo hands were inches away from my arms
he makes a sharp turn,
makes the guy to my right flinch
but instead of throwing his fists up, he jumps back.
then he makes another sharp turn and makes a group of girls scream.
he would dance back and forth harassing the concert go-ers and the crazy horse go-ers
he never touched anyone with his doo-doo hands.
and when he started ripping the other posters and shoving it down the back of his pants
i stopped standing around and started walking around
making sure he was 30 feet away.

i see someone standing by the line with a similar green cap.
i texted Emily,
"green cap black plastic glasses beige jacket"
8:30
Emily spots me.
I head straight to the bar.
bought a plastic cup full of wine.
the opening act was on its last track
i see positivespace in the best spot in the theatre
we give each other the "sup!" head nod.
as soon as the roots got on stage
i start inching my way to the front.
last time i saw the roots was 6/29/04
This was no typical roots show...
In the middle of ?uestlove's solo,
?uestlove waves at someone backstage to come out.
Dave Chappelle randomly walks onstage.
the audience goes crazy!
Dave Chappelle walks behind the keyboards and starts playing.
the piece he played is still playing in my head
and im going crazy because the name of it is on the tip of my tongue.
after 3 minutes of keys and drums
Dave Chappelle exits the stage.
at the end of the show
Chappelle got back on stage and signs drumsticks
that ?uestlove would throw to the audience.
then Chappelle pretends to jump into the crowd
and the crowd flinches with their hands up in the air...
then Chappelle hands his cel phone to ?uestlove
and jumps in
He was surfing 3 feet to the left of me.
Im suprised no one took his shoe.
on my way out,
bumped into postivespace, and thanked her.
like a ninja
i hid in the shadows
of the crowd walking toward the garage 3 blocks away.
avoiding crackheads.
i had to kick it in my car for minute to sober up
on the way home
i passed up a 4 car pile up on 4th street
everyone was writing down everyones info...
seemed like everyone was ok.
but, on the 280 freeway
i see chp lights ahead
and it pulls over to the right.
as i drove by,
i see a chp officer flashing his flashlight inside a red car
with its front banged up and the windshield shattered.
damn what a random night. |
